Notre Dame Fighting Irish escaped a Florida State fourth quarter comeback to defeat the Seminoles with an overtime Field Goal from Jonathan Doerer. The teams had been close at halftime with the Fighting Irish 17-14 up. The Irish put up a big third quarter with two touchdown passes from Jack Coan and a 1 yard run from Chris Tyree to go into the fourth quarter 38-20. Jack Coan starred for the Fighting Irish, passing for four touchdowns.
