East Side Jets vs Belfast Blitzers

In the opening game of the 1987 season newcomers East Side Jets, from Castlereagh, were given a baptism of fire as they were trounced 92-0 by the previous years’ Cup and League Champions.

Blitzers scorers on the day were Quarterback Alan McCandless, Wingback Ivan Smith, F. Lynch, D. McCourt, Runningback Hayden Davis, J. Smyth and D. McHugh
