Recap

1994 Heisman Trophy winner Rashaan Salaam scored a 21 yard touchdown and totalled 122 yards as the Memphis Maniax survived 8 fumbles to win 18-12 and progress to 2-2. Los Angeles Xtreme had three fumbles themselves, as only 18,341 tickets were sold for the game at the LA Coliseum. There had been 35,813 at the Coliseum for their home opener on February 10th.

Jim Druckenmiller, starting in place of ex-Scotland Claymores Quarterback Marcus Crandell went 13 of 22 for 215 yards for the Maniax. Tommy Maddox completed only 11 of 35 passes for the Xtreme, totalling 121 yards.

Jeff Hall (Maniax) and Jose Cortez (Xtreme) each scored two Field Goals for their teams. Maddox completed one Touchdown pass, a six-yard attempt to Darnell McDonald and Druckenmiller likewise completed one TD pass, to Mark Thomas for the Maniax, as Rashaan Salaam proved the difference between the teams.
