Australian Football

Australian Rules has been played in Ireland since 2000, when the first clubs were formed in Dublin and Belfast. The leagues played since then over the years have included, the full 21-a-side Men’s Premiership, Women’s AFL, Super 9s/10s and Women’s Super 7s on an All-Ireland basis and a Leeside AFL Super League. Super AFL is a reduced number Australian Football League featuring 7, 9 or 10 players per side.

Leeside Australian Football League is a Super AFL League based in and around the Cork County-Munster Province of Ireland. The League grew out of a response to the COVID-virus lockdown in 2020.

Australian Rules has been played in Ireland since 2000, when the first clubs were formed in Dublin and Belfast. There are currently the full 21-a-side Men’s Premiership, Super 9s/10s and a Women’s Super 7s.
